What is Laxido Orange2?
Laxido Orange is indicated for the treatment of chronic constipation and is also effective in resolving faecal impaction, defined as refractory constipation with faecal loading of the rectum and/or colon. Laxido Orange is indicated in adults, adolescents and the elderly.
Laxido Orange is a powder, that once reconstituted in water provides an easy-to-drink solution. Using the active ingredient macrogol 3350, this solution softens stools making them easier to pass, giving your patients relief.
Formulated with electrolytes, Laxido Orange helps to maintain the body’s normal levels of sodium, potassium and water, whilst the constipation is being treated. Features of Laxido Orange include:

How does Laxido Orange work2?
Macrogol 3350 induces a laxative effect through its osmotic action in the gut, which makes faeces softer and easier to pass.
This product also contains electrolytes to ensure that there is no overall gain or loss of water, potassium or sodium.
Dosage & Treatment Duration2
Laxido Orange dosage and treatment duration for adults, adolescents and the elderly:*2

| Chronic constipation | 1 to 3 sachets daily in divided doses, according to individual response | Does not normally exceed 2 weeks, but treatment can be repeated if needed. Prolonged use is not usually recommended. |
| Faecal impaction | 8 sachets daily, all of which should be consumed within a 6 hour period. Patients with impaired cardiovascular function: For the treatment of faecal impaction the dose should be divided so that no more than 2 sachets are taken in any 1 hour period. Patients with renal insufficiency: No dosage change is necessary for the treatment of constipation or faecal impaction. | Does not normally exceed 3 days |

Method of administration2
Each sachet should be dissolved in 125 ml water. For use in faecal impaction, 8 sachets may be dissolved in 1 litre of water.
